Zoo pics #3

Griffin finally woke up!

Griffin's first train ride

This is one of my favorite pictures of the day.  How wide is your wingspan?  Dave was an eagle, and Grayson was a barn owl. :-)

My favorite boys in all the world!

Grayson on the carousel...he chose a green horse because that's Daddy's favorite color!

This is the new penguin exhibit at the zoo.  It's one of our favorites!

Griffin really loved the zoo!  :-)

Dave thought it would be funny if he sat on the Komodo Dragon too.

There was a nice man who offered to take a picture of all of us.  Griffin was asleep so we didn't dare move him.  If you look closely enough though, his little face can be seen!

4 months old!

Our little Griffin turned 4 months old on November 14th.  He is still surprising us with his smallness (I don't know if that's a word, but if it isn't, I just made it up!).  We took him this past Thursday for his checkup and he weighed in at 15lbs and 2 oz., and he was 25 3/4 inches long.  That's in the 50th percentile for weight and the 75-90th percentile for height.  He is now talking as much as he possibly can, he longs to sit up, and LOVES to play in the exersaucer.  He still adores Grayson.  He also has the best smile.  It always starts as a grin and grows into this amazing smile that will melt your heart!  Below, is a picture that describes his wonderful smile!

The Zoo

On Saturday, we took a trip to the zoo.  We are zoo members, and November is member appreciation month.  During the month, the zoo opens an hour early, and there are free train rides and free carousel rides.  It was a crisp 5o degrees outside (pretty cold for Texas), so no one was there.  It was such a great day.  We probably stayed the longest we've ever stayed at the zoo.  We were bundled up, so it was very enjoyable.  I'll probably have to post several times to get all the pics on here I want to show, so stay tuned for more posts!

Above and below are pics of me and Grayson and Dave and Grayson at the Lion exhibit.  The lion was eating breakfast, and he was fascinating.
