Sunday Afternoon Fun

This afternoon, after nap time, we decided to take advantage of this beautiful weather that we've been having.  Griffin and I only stayed out there for a short time (he hasn't been feeling well...see previous post), but I managed to get some cute pictures of Grayson.  He enjoyed playing catch with Dad and kicking around the soccer ball.

Ready to play

Catching the ball...I have to brag and say that he was REALLY good at this...I wasn't sure.  :-)

Just a few things....

I just wanted to take some time and ask for prayer.  If you've read one of  my previous posts, you know that Griffin has different things that we are having to see specialists about.  He is a pretty healthy baby in the grand scheme of things.  However, he will be getting tubes put in his ears on April 2nd.  We actually just went to the doctor today to find out that he had an ear infection in both ears (poor baby).  That is his 4th and 5th, if you count both ears, in 6 weeks.  Actually, the next issue is what is causing the ear infections.

The next issue is his head.  He has ALWAYS preferred his left side.  When I say always, we were told that this must have been how he laid inside me.  Now, after trying multiple things, his head is still misshapen.  SO, he is going to be wearing a STAR band.  It's like a helmet to reshape the head. I'm not exactly sure how it works, but we were told that the bone structure of his skull has developed a "memory" and has started to grow that way, thus affecting the anatomy of his ears causing the multiple ear infections.  SO, not only will it fix the shape of his head, it will help, along with the tubes, his ears.

I'm asking for prayer for these issues with Griffin, but also asking for prayer for our finances.  Thank the Lord for insurance, but it still doesn't cover everything.  We are currently waiting on insurance approval for the STAR band.  We appreciate your prayers on everything!

Going to the park....part two (Griffin)

Since Griffin is so small, there is still not a lot he can do at the playground other than swing, but he doesn't mind.  Here are some photos from his trip to the park.

Well, he looks like he's having a joyous time here, don't you think?

I'm not really sure.....making some kind of noise, I'm sure.
Unfortunately, if you combine the first pic with this one, it looks like he's making himself
throw up.  NICE!

Now he's happy!

CHEESE!!!!!!

Still happy
"Mom, do we really have to go back inside?"

Going to the park....part one (Grayson)

It was gorgeous outside today, so after dinner, Dave and I took the boys to our neighborhood playground.  We actually thought it might be nice to let Grayson ride his bike there since it had been a while.  Here are some pics from his time at the park.

Here he is gearing up and getting ready to go!

Daddy Time

If you've read any of my other posts, you know that Griffin adores his momma!  I can't complain; Grayson would much rather hang out with Dad if he had to choose.  However, I LOVE to catch sweet moments such as this.  Dave was singing to Griffin, and Griffin was soaking it all in.

Sweet Potato Madness

I have to share these just because if any of y'all REALLY know how our first child was, this is new to us.  Griffin could care less if he was swimming in sweet potatoes.   Grayson on the other hand, now that's a different story.
